A rare disease is defined as one that affects less than 1 in 2,000 of the general population. Sequencing the genome of rare disease patients is a key part of the 100,000 Genomes Project.
The South West NHS GMC publishes a regular newsletter for clinicians and NHS staff with information and updates specifically relating to the rare diseases arm of the project.
You can view the latest newsletter, and download all previous editions by visiting the rare diseases pages.
We will post all editions of the newsletter on the website, but if you would like to receive these sent directly to your email address, lease contact us at: to be added to the email distribution list.
