Does cannabis tincture (glycerin) how works?
Cannabis tincture (also known as glycerin cannabis, Cannabis tincture, and glycerin extract) is a liquid vegetable oil extract of cannabis, usually made with grain alcohol. A resultant brew is a potent form of concentrated cannabinoids that can be administered safely and reliably.
Our Cannabis Tincture is a highly-concentrated liquid, made by extracting the beneficial THC and other cannabinoids from the cannabis using glycerin as the solvent. The result is a smooth, flavorful tincture that can be taken sublingually to provide rapid relief and quick absorption.
How to make a tincture from cannabis?
Cannabis Tincture, also known as CBD tincture, is super easy to make at home. Not only can you reuse the tincture, but it is much cheaper than purchasing CBD. You don’t need any special equipment to make your tinctures; a mason jar and some high-proof alcohol will do the job just fine.
For those who prefer not to use alcohol, food-grade glycerin is an
alternative solvent. Using ½ gallon (64 fluid ounces) of food-grade glycerin will be sufficient to process three ounces (84 grams) of quality cannabis buds. Again, the more cannabis you add, the more potent and stronger it will be. Unlike the “cold tincture” method with the alcohol tincture, a glycerin tincture requires some heat to assist the absorption of the cannabinoids. The plant material should be finely ground and placed into a crock pot (slow cooker) on the lowest setting and left to heat for at least 12 hours with the lid on. Ensure the setting is low enough not to burn the mixture. After the heating process allows the mixture to cool and strain as before.
